Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts - 400 grams
- 200 grams of mushrooms (cremini or button) - sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream - 240 ml
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese - 60 grams
- 2 tablespoons olive oil - 30 ml
- 2 cloves garlic - minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme - 1 gram
- 1 teaspoon paprika - 2 grams
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
- Fresh parsley - for garnish
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides.
- Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are browned and tender.
- Pour in the heavy cream and add the dried thyme, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese until melted and well combined.
- Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the mushroom cream sauce over them.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
