Ingredients

  • Ground turkey - 300 grams
  • Fresh cranberries - 100 grams
  • Gluten-free breadcrumbs - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Red onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for cooking)
  • Gluten-free burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Sliced tomato - 1 medium
  • Avocado - 1 small, sliced

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, fresh cranberries, gluten-free breadcrumbs, egg, chopped red onion, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into 2 equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F) and they are golden brown.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the gluten-free burger buns by toasting them lightly in a separate pan or toaster.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked turkey patty, tomato slices, and avocado slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
  6. Serve immediately with your choice of side.
