Ingredients

  • crab meat - 250 grams
  • breadcrumbs - 50 grams
  • mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • green onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • egg - 1 large
  • salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
  • olive oil - 2 tablespoons for frying

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, green onion, parsley, egg, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. Gently mix the ingredients until well combined, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties (about 100 grams each).
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Once the oil is hot, add the crab cakes to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove the crab cakes from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce, such as tartar sauce or a squeeze of lemon.
