Ingredients
- Live blue crab - 500 grams
- Water - 2 liters
- Old Bay seasoning - 3 tablespoons
- Lemon - 1, halved
- Garlic - 4 cloves, smashed
- Corn on the cob - 1, cut into halves
- Red potatoes - 300 grams, halved
- Andouille sausage - 200 grams, sliced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
Steps
- In a large pot, bring 2 liters of water to a boil.
- Add 3 tablespoons of Old Bay seasoning, halved lemon, and smashed garlic to the boiling water.
- Once boiling, add the red potatoes and cook for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, add the corn and andouille sausage; cook for another 5 minutes.
- Carefully add the live blue crab to the pot, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes until the crab is bright orange and cooked through.
- Drain the pot, and transfer the crab, corn, potatoes, and sausage to a serving platter.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with additional lemon wedges.
