Ingredients

  • Stale bread cubes - 200 grams
  • Unsalted butter - 30 grams
  • Onion, diced - 1 small (about 100 grams)
  • Celery, diced - 1 stalk (about 50 grams)
  • Garlic, minced - 1 clove
  • Chicken broth (Halal) - 250 ml
  • Dried sage - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried thyme - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat and add the diced onion and celery. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic, dried sage, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the stale bread cubes with the sautéed mixture. Pour the Halal chicken broth over the bread and mix until evenly moistened.
  5. Transfer the stuffing mixture to a greased baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley.
