Ingredients

  • Russet potatoes - 2 medium (about 400g)
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons (30ml)
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon (5g)
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon (5g)
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon (5g)
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon (5g)
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon (2g)
  • Parmesan cheese - 2 tablespoons, grated (15g) (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly, then cut them into wedges. You can cut each potato in half lengthwise and then into 4-6 wedges depending on the size.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Add the potato wedges to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the oil and seasoning mixture.
  5. Spread the seasoned wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  7. If using, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the wedges during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  8. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
