Ingredients

  • Ground beef (85% lean) - 400 grams
  • Kosher salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Burger buns (Kosher) - 2
  • Slices of kosher dill pickles - 4
  • Tomato, sliced - 1 medium
  • Iceberg lettuce leaves - 2
  • Ketchup - 2 tablespoons
  • Mustard - 2 teaspoons

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, egg, and chopped parsley. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach the desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun and topping them with slices of tomato, lettuce, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
  6. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
