- Fresh clams - 500 grams
- Small red potatoes - 300 grams, quartered
- Fresh corn on the cob - 1 ear, cut into 2 pieces
- Smoked sausage (gluten-free) - 200 grams, sliced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lemon - 1, cut into wedges
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Old Bay seasoning - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Begin by soaking the clams in cold water for 20 minutes to remove any sand or grit.
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil, then add the quartered potatoes. Cook for about 10 minutes until they are slightly tender.
- Add the corn pieces and smoked sausage to the pot, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper, mixing well.
- Drain the clams and add them to the pot. Cover and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the clams have opened.
- Once the clams are cooked, remove the pot from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
