- raisin - 1/2 cup (75 g)
- honey - 1 tablespoon (21 g)
- egg - 1 (for egg wash)
Steps
- In a small bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast in warm water with the sugar and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, and cinnamon.
- Pour the yeast mixture into the flour mixture and add the honey. Mix until a dough begins to form.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Incorporate the raisins into the dough, kneading gently to distribute evenly.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F). Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add a tablespoon of honey.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and shape each piece into a bagel, making a hole in the center with your thumb.
