Ingredients

  • Salmon fillets - 2 (150g each)
  • Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce - 2 tablespoons, minced
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Apple cider vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, mix the chipotle peppers, honey, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it skin-side down on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Transfer the salmon to a serving plate and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
