Ingredients

  • Edamame (in pods) - 300 grams
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Red chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (optional)
  • Chopped fresh cilantro - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and add the edamame. Cook for about 5 minutes until tender, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the red chili flakes to the skillet and stir for another 15 seconds.
  4. Incorporate the cooked edamame into the skillet, and pour in the soy sauce and lime juice. Toss everything together until the edamame is well coated.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
