- Ground beef - 400 grams (80% lean)
- Chili seasoning mix - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cheddar cheese - 100 grams, shredded
- Burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Onion - 1/2, sliced
- Jalapeños - 2, sliced (optional)
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chili seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once hot, place the burger patties in the skillet.
- Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place the shredded cheddar cheese on top of each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
- While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns in a separate pan or under the broiler until golden brown.
