  • Fresh lemon juice - 1 tablespoon (15ml)
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon (5g)
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon (2g)
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon (3g)
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon (1g)
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons (8g), chopped
  • Whole wheat burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1/2 medium, sliced

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, mash the chickpeas and avocado together until combined but still chunky.
  2. Add the lemon juice, garlic powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and chopped cilantro to the bowl and mix well.
  3. Toast the whole wheat burger buns in a skillet or toaster until golden brown.
