- Breadcrumbs - 1 cup
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup, grated
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Marinara sauce - 1 cup
- Mozzarella cheese - 1/2 cup, shredded

Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Set up a breading station: place flour in one shallow dish, beat the egg in a second dish, and mix breadcrumbs with grated Parmesan cheese in a third dish.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off excess, dip in the beaten egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over each breast and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
