Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
  • Bell peppers (red, yellow, green) - 1 cup, sliced
  • Onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Whole wheat tortillas - 2
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Sour cream - 2 tablespoons (optional)
  • Salsa - 4 tablespoons (optional)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Cut the chicken breast into thin strips and add them to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. While the chicken is marinating, slice the bell peppers and onion.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
  5. Add the sliced bell peppers and onion to the skillet, stirring occasionally. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are slightly tender.
  6. Warm the whole wheat tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds until pliable.
  7. Serve the chicken and vegetable mixture in the tortillas, topped with fresh cilantro, and add sour cream and salsa if desired.
