Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Broccoli - 200 grams
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 4 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 60 milliliters
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Begin by cutting the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and seasoning with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, minced garlic, water, and cornstarch to create a marinade.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
  4. While the chicken is marinating, cut the broccoli into florets and steam them until bright green and tender-crisp, about 5 minutes.
  5. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken (reserve the marinade) and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  6. Once the chicken is cooked, add the steamed broccoli to the skillet and stir to combine.
  7. Pour the reserved marinade over the chicken and broccoli, and drizzle with sesame oil. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds.
