Ingredients
- Chicken breast - 300 grams
- Broccoli - 200 grams
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Soy sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 60 milliliters
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
Steps
- Begin by cutting the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and seasoning with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, minced garlic, water, and cornstarch to create a marinade.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
- While the chicken is marinating, cut the broccoli into florets and steam them until bright green and tender-crisp, about 5 minutes.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken (reserve the marinade) and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Once the chicken is cooked, add the steamed broccoli to the skillet and stir to combine.
- Pour the reserved marinade over the chicken and broccoli, and drizzle with sesame oil. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds.
