- Crushed tomatoes - 1 cup
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Basil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, honey, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Mix until a dough forms, then knead for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Roll out the dough into a thick disc and place it in a 9-inch (23 cm) deep dish pizza pan, pressing it up the sides.
- Spread the crushed tomatoes on the bottom of the crust, then layer with spinach, mushrooms, bell pepper, zucchini, and turkey sausage.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top, followed by oregano, basil, and black pepper.
