  • whole wheat breadcrumbs - 50 grams
  • mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Old Bay seasoning - 1 teaspoon
  • green onion, finely chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • parsley, finely chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • egg - 1 large
  • lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • salt - to taste
  • black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the fresh lump crab meat, whole wheat breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, chopped green onion, parsley, egg, and lemon juice. Mix gently to avoid breaking up the crab meat.

  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the crab cakes and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  4. Transfer the crab cakes to a plate and keep warm. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil if needed and cook for an additional batch if necessary.
  5. Serve the crab cakes warm with a wedge of lemon and your favorite dipping sauce.
