Ingredients

  • Blue crabs - 600 grams
  • Small red potatoes - 300 grams
  • Fresh corn on the cob - 2 ears, halved
  • Andouille sausage - 200 grams, sliced
  • Old Bay seasoning - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 2 liters
  • Lemon - 1, cut into wedges
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, crushed
  • Bay leaves - 2
  • Salt - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a large pot, bring 2 liters of water to a boil and add 1 tablespoon of salt.
  2. Once boiling, add the red potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes until they start to soften.
  3. Add the sliced Andouille sausage, crushed garlic, bay leaves, and Old Bay seasoning to the pot. Stir well.
  4. After another 5 minutes, add the corn halves and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Finally, gently add the blue crabs to the pot, cover, and cook for another 10-15 minutes until the crabs are bright orange and cooked through.
  6. Remove the pot from heat, let it cool slightly, then drain the liquid.
  7. Serve the crab boil on a large platter, garnished with lemon wedges.
