- Mozzarella cheese (shredded) - 150 grams
- Parmesan cheese (grated) - 30 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Tomato sauce - 100 grams
- Bell pepper (sliced) - 50 grams
- Mushrooms (sliced) - 50 grams
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh basil (for garnish) - a few leaves
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower and cut it into florets.
- In a food processor, pulse the cauliflower florets until they resemble rice grains.
- Transfer the processed cauliflower to a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for about 5 minutes to soften.
- Let the cauliflower cool slightly, then place it in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cauliflower, 100g mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and spread the cauliflower mixture into a circular shape, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and firm.
- Remove the crust from the oven and spread the tomato sauce evenly over the top.
- Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese, sliced bell pepper, and mushrooms.
- Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh basil before slicing and serving.
