- Breadcrumbs - 1 cup (100 grams)
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - for frying
Steps
- In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk until well combined.
- Place the breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
- Dip each cheese curd first into the flour mixture, shaking off any excess, then into the egg mixture, and finally into the breadcrumbs, ensuring they are fully coated.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).
- Carefully add the coated cheese curds to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
- Fry the cheese curds for about 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the curds from the oil and let them drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
