Ingredients
- ground beef (80% lean) - 300 grams
- kosher salt - 1 teaspoon
- black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- cheddar cheese (sliced) - 2 slices
- bacon - 4 slices
- burger buns (kosher) - 2
- lettuce leaves - 2
- tomato (sliced) - 1 medium
- pickles (sliced) - 4 slices
- mustard - 1 tablespoon
- ketchup - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Cook the bacon slices in the skillet or grill until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet or grill, cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each. Cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns until golden.
- Assemble the burgers: on the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the burger patty with melted cheddar, crispy bacon, tomato slices, pickles, mustard, and ketchup.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
