- Alligator tail - 500 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
- Cut the alligator tail into 2.5 cm thick medallions and add them to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the alligator from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off.
- Place the alligator medallions on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they develop a nice char and reach an internal temperature of 70°C.
- Once cooked, remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes.
