- Cauliflower - 300 grams, riced
- Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
- Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated
- Egg - 1 large
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Pizza sauce - 60 grams
- Pepperoni slices - 20 grams, chopped (optional)
- Fresh basil - a few leaves, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the riced cauliflower, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- Using your hands, form the mixture into small bite-sized rounds or patties and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Top each bite with a small spoonful of pizza sauce and sprinkle with chopped pepperoni, if using.
- Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to warm the toppings.
