- Brown sugar - 30 grams
- Mustard - 1 tablespoon
- Worcestershire sauce (Halal) - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Brioche buns - 2
- Coleslaw (optional) - 100 grams
Steps
- In a medium bowl, combine apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes to create the sauce.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for about 5 minutes on each side until browned.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken in the skillet, cover, and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the skillet and stir to coat it in the sauce.
- Toast the brioche buns lightly on a skillet or grill. Serve the pulled chicken on the buns, topped with coleslaw if desired.
