  • Vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chopped pistachios - 2 tablespoons (for garnish)
  • Ground cinnamon - a pinch (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then drain.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, whole milk, coconut milk, sugar, ground cardamom, and salt.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
