  • Ground turkey or beef - 250 grams
  • Avocado - 1 medium, ripe
  • Whole grain burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped (optional)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground turkey or beef with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Shape the mixture into two equal patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and browned.
  3. While the patties are cooking, mash the avocado in a small bowl and mix in lemon juice, salt, and chopped cilantro if using.
