- Ground turkey - 400 grams
- Cajun seasoning - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Whole wheat burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Pickles - 4 slices
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Hot sauce - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Divide the turkey mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 2 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C.
- While the turkey burgers are cooking, prepare the remoulade by mixing mayonnaise, hot sauce, lemon juice, and chopped parsley in a small bowl.
- Toast the whole wheat burger buns lightly in the skillet or oven.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading the remoulade on the bottom bun, adding the lettuce, turkey patty, tomato, red onion, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with your favorite side.
