Ingredients

  • Ground turkey - 400 grams
  • Cajun seasoning - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Whole wheat burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
  • Pickles - 4 slices
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Hot sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Divide the turkey mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 2 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C.
  4. While the turkey burgers are cooking, prepare the remoulade by mixing mayonnaise, hot sauce, lemon juice, and chopped parsley in a small bowl.
  5. Toast the whole wheat burger buns lightly in the skillet or oven.
  6. Assemble the burgers by spreading the remoulade on the bottom bun, adding the lettuce, turkey patty, tomato, red onion, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite side.
