- Ground turkey - 250 grams
- Cajun seasoning - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Whole grain burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Avocado - 1/2, sliced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well blended.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey patties to the skillet.
- Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F) and are golden brown.
- While the patties are cooking, toast the whole grain burger buns in a toaster or on a separate skillet until lightly browned.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the turkey patty, sliced tomato, and avocado. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with your favorite healthy side.
