- Large shrimp (peeled and deveined) - 400 grams
- Red potatoes (halved) - 300 grams
- Corn on the cob (cut into thirds) - 1 ear
- Andouille sausage (sliced) - 150 grams
- Cajun seasoning - 2 tablespoons
- Old Bay seasoning - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic (minced) - 4 cloves
- Lemon (halved) - 1
- Bay leaves - 2
- Water - 2 liters
- Salt - to taste
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish) - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a large pot, bring 2 liters of water to a boil and add 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning, 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning, minced garlic, bay leaves, and salt to taste.
- Add the halved red potatoes to the boiling pot and cook for about 15 minutes or until they are tender.
- Next, add the sliced Andouille sausage and corn pieces to the pot, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Finally, add the shrimp and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Remove the pot from heat and squeeze in the juice from the halved lemon, stirring to combine.
- Carefully drain the pot and transfer the boil to a large serving platter.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
