Ingredients

  • Large shrimp (peeled and deveined) - 400 grams
  • Red potatoes (halved) - 300 grams
  • Corn on the cob (cut into thirds) - 1 ear
  • Andouille sausage (sliced) - 150 grams
  • Cajun seasoning - 2 tablespoons
  • Old Bay seasoning - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 4 cloves
  • Lemon (halved) - 1
  • Bay leaves - 2
  • Water - 2 liters
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish) - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a large pot, bring 2 liters of water to a boil and add 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning, 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning, minced garlic, bay leaves, and salt to taste.
  2. Add the halved red potatoes to the boiling pot and cook for about 15 minutes or until they are tender.
  3. Next, add the sliced Andouille sausage and corn pieces to the pot, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Finally, add the shrimp and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  5. Remove the pot from heat and squeeze in the juice from the halved lemon, stirring to combine.
  6. Carefully drain the pot and transfer the boil to a large serving platter.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
