Ingredients
- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Red onion - 1/4 medium, thinly sliced
- Cheddar cheese - 2 slices
- Mustard - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the bunless burger base by laying the lettuce leaves on a plate.
- Once the patties are cooked, place each patty on top of the lettuce leaves.
- Top each patty with slices of avocado, tomato, and red onion.
- Drizzle mustard over the top and serve immediately.
