- Ground buffalo meat - 300 grams
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 small, diced
- Buffalo sauce - 60 ml
- Lettuce leaves (Romaine or Butter) - 4 large leaves
- Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
- Avocado - 1 medium, diced
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lime - 1, juiced
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
Steps
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the ground buffalo meat to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the buffalo sauce, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- While the meat cooks, prepare the lettuce leaves by rinsing and patting them dry.
- In a bowl, combine the diced avocado, halved cherry tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and lime juice. Mix gently to combine.
- To assemble the tacos, spoon the buffalo meat mixture into each lettuce leaf, top with the avocado-tomato mixture, and serve immediately.
