Ingredients

  • Buffalo ground meat - 400 grams
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Romaine lettuce - 4 large leaves
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/2 small, thinly sliced
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
  • Hot sauce - to taste

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the buffalo ground meat, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the burger patties to the skillet.
  4. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  5. While the burgers are cooking, prepare your lettuce wraps by rinsing and drying the romaine leaves.
  6. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  7. Assemble your burgers by placing each patty on a romaine lettuce leaf, and topping with tomato slices, red onion, avocado, and a drizzle of hot sauce.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your Paleo Buffalo Burger!
