  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Beef broth - 200 milliliters
  • Corn tortillas - 4 small
  • Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges
  • Radishes - 4, thinly sliced

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the diced onion. Sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Season the brisket with cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper, then sear it in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Pour the beef broth into the skillet and bring it to a simmer.
  6. Cover the skillet and transfer it to the preheated oven. Cook for 2 hours or until the brisket is tender.
  7. Remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing it against the grain.
  8. Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
  9. Assemble the tacos by placing sliced brisket on each tortilla and topping with fresh cilantro, radishes, and a squeeze of lime juice.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy your brisket tacos!
