- Water - 60 ml
- All-purpose flour - 150 grams
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Milk - 100 ml
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps
- In a medium saucepan, combine the blackberries, 50 grams of sugar, and water. Cook over medium heat until the blackberries release their juices and the mixture begins to bubble, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining 50 grams of sugar.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, vegetable oil, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined to form a thick batter.
- Once the blackberry mixture is bubbling, drop spoonfuls of the batter over the top of the berries. Cover the saucepan with a lid and reduce the heat to low.
- Let the dumplings steam for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are puffed up and cooked through.
- Serve warm, spooning the blackberry sauce over the dumplings.
