  • all-purpose flour - 120 grams
  • granulated sugar - 80 grams
  • butter, softened - 60 grams
  • egg - 1 large
  • milk - 30 ml
  • baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • powdered sugar - 100 grams
  • cocoa powder - 20 grams
  • water - 30 ml

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 5 cm apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  8. For the vanilla glaze, mix the powdered sugar with 15 ml of water until smooth and spreadable.
  9. For the chocolate glaze, combine the remaining powdered sugar with the cocoa powder and 15 ml of water, stirring until smooth.
  10. Once the cookies are cool, spread the vanilla glaze on one half of each cookie and the chocolate glaze on the other half.
