- all-purpose flour - 120 grams
- granulated sugar - 80 grams
- butter, softened - 60 grams
- egg - 1 large
- milk - 30 ml
- baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- powdered sugar - 100 grams
- cocoa powder - 20 grams
- water - 30 ml
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, and mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 5 cm apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
- For the vanilla glaze, mix the powdered sugar with 15 ml of water until smooth and spreadable.
- For the chocolate glaze, combine the remaining powdered sugar with the cocoa powder and 15 ml of water, stirring until smooth.
- Once the cookies are cool, spread the vanilla glaze on one half of each cookie and the chocolate glaze on the other half.
