Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Parsley - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for brushing)
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces (for serving)
  • Tahini sauce - 4 tablespoons (for serving)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cinnamon. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into an elongated kofta on a skewer, pressing firmly to hold its shape.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Brush the kofta with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Place the kofta skewers on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the meat is fully cooked and has a nice char.
  5. Once cooked, remove the kofta from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. Serve the kofta with warm pita bread and drizzle tahini sauce over them.
