- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Parsley - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for brushing)
- Pita bread - 2 pieces (for serving)
- Tahini sauce - 4 tablespoons (for serving)
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cinnamon. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into an elongated kofta on a skewer, pressing firmly to hold its shape.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Brush the kofta with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the kofta skewers on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the meat is fully cooked and has a nice char.
- Once cooked, remove the kofta from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- Serve the kofta with warm pita bread and drizzle tahini sauce over them.
