Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
  • Red onion - 1 small, cut into wedges
  • Bell pepper (mixed colors) - 1 medium, cut into squares
  • Cherry tomatoes - 10, whole
  • Yogurt - 150 grams
  • Fresh mint - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the beef cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. While the beef is marinating, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing yogurt, chopped mint, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Set aside.
  4. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated beef, red onion wedges, bell pepper squares, and cherry tomatoes onto skewers, alternating the ingredients.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
  7. While the kebabs are cooking, warm the pita bread on the grill for 1-2 minutes on each side.
  8. Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
