  • Halal beef strips - 250 grams
  • Broccoli florets - 100 grams
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced

  • Onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable broth - 150 ml
  • Cooked rice - 200 grams
  • Green onions - 2, sliced for garnish
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic and sliced onion. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the beef strips to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the broccoli, red bell pepper, and carrot. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the vegetables are just tender.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, vegetable broth, black pepper, and salt to create a sauce.
  6. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables in the skillet, stirring well to combine. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. In a casserole dish, layer the cooked rice at the bottom, then add the beef and vegetable mixture on top.
  8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
