- Potato - 1 medium, diced
- Carrot - 1 medium, diced

- Onion - 1 small, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Dried thyme - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Beef broth - 100 ml
- Cheddar cheese - 50 grams, grated
- Fresh parsley - for garnish
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the diced potato, carrot, bell pepper, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the broth has slightly reduced.
- Transfer the beef and vegetable mixture to a baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese on top of the mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
