- Tomato sauce - 400 grams
- Ricotta cheese - 100 grams
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 100 grams
- Parmesan cheese, grated - 50 grams
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Onion, chopped - 1 small
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Italian seasoning - 1 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Stir in the tomato sauce and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
- In a separate pot, blanch the fresh spinach in boiling water for 1-2 minutes until wilted. Drain and set aside.
- To assemble the lasagna, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of a small baking dish. Place 2 lasagna noodles on top.
- Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by half of the spinach, and then a third of the mozzarella cheese.
- Add another layer of meat sauce, followed by 2 more noodles, the remaining ricotta mixture, the rest of the spinach, and another third of the mozzarella.
- Top with the last layer of meat sauce, remaining mozzarella, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the lasagna cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
