- Beef sirloin - 250 grams, sliced thinly
- Broccoli florets - 200 grams
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 100 ml
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- While the beef is marinating, bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch the broccoli florets for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Add the blanched broccoli to the skillet, and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
- Pour in 100 ml of water and drizzle with sesame oil. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles if desired.
