Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 250 grams, sliced thinly
  • Broccoli florets - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. While the beef is marinating, bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch the broccoli florets for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  4. Add the blanched broccoli to the skillet, and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  5. Pour in 100 ml of water and drizzle with sesame oil. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles if desired.
