Ingredients

  • Firm Tofu - 400 grams
  • BBQ Sauce - 100 ml
  • Bell Pepper (red) - 1 medium, chopped into 2.5 cm pieces
  • Zucchini - 1 medium, sliced into rounds
  • Red Onion - 1 medium, cut into wedges
  • Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Black Pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 2.5 cm cubes.
  2. In a bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and toss gently to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. While the tofu is marinating, prepare the vegetables by cutting the bell pepper, zucchini, and red onion as instructed.
  5. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  6. Thread the marinated tofu and vegetables onto the skewers alternately.
  7. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the tofu is golden and the vegetables are tender.
  8. Remove from the grill and brush with additional BBQ sauce if desired. Serve hot.
