- Ground chicken - 400 grams
- BBQ sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Coleslaw mix - 1 cup
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- While the patties are cooking, in a separate bowl, mix the coleslaw mix with mayonnaise to create the coleslaw.
- Toast the burger buns in the skillet for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Once the patties are cooked, brush the remaining 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce over each patty.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the BBQ chicken patty and a generous amount of coleslaw. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
