Ingredients

  • Ground chicken - 400 grams
  • BBQ sauce - 4 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Coleslaw mix - 1 cup
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
  4. While the patties are cooking, in a separate bowl, mix the coleslaw mix with mayonnaise to create the coleslaw.
  5. Toast the burger buns in the skillet for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Once the patties are cooked, brush the remaining 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce over each patty.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the BBQ chicken patty and a generous amount of coleslaw. Top with the other half of the bun.
  8. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
