Ingredients
- Cauliflower - 1 medium head
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- BBQ sauce - 1/2 cup (preferably low sugar)
- Fresh parsley - for garnish (optional)
Steps
- Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (about 200°C or 400°F).
- Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and trim the stem, then cut the cauliflower into 1-inch thick steaks.
- In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Brush both sides of the cauliflower steaks with the olive oil mixture.
- Place the cauliflower steaks on the grill or a baking sheet if using the oven.
- Grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are tender and have nice grill marks.
- During the last 2 minutes of cooking, brush the BBQ sauce generously on both sides of the steaks.
- Remove from heat and let rest for a minute. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
