Ingredients

  • Cauliflower - 1 medium head
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • BBQ sauce - 1/2 cup (preferably low sugar)
  • Fresh parsley - for garnish (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (about 200°C or 400°F).
  2. Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and trim the stem, then cut the cauliflower into 1-inch thick steaks.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Brush both sides of the cauliflower steaks with the olive oil mixture.
  5. Place the cauliflower steaks on the grill or a baking sheet if using the oven.
  6. Grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are tender and have nice grill marks.
  7. During the last 2 minutes of cooking, brush the BBQ sauce generously on both sides of the steaks.
  8. Remove from heat and let rest for a minute. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
