Ingredients
- Brisket - 400 grams
- BBQ sauce - 120 ml
- Slider buns - 4 pieces
- Onion - 1 medium, sliced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Pickles - 50 grams, sliced
- Coleslaw mix - 100 grams
- Vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
- In a large oven-safe pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper to the pot and stir for another minute until fragrant.
- Place the brisket in the pot, cover it with BBQ sauce, and add 1/2 cup of water. Cover the pot with a lid and transfer it to the preheated oven.
- Cook the brisket in the oven for about 3 hours, or until tender and easily shredded with a fork.
- Once cooked, remove the brisket from the pot and let it rest for 10 minutes before shredding it with two forks.
- While the brisket is resting, prepare a quick coleslaw by mixing the coleslaw mix, vinegar, and sugar in a bowl. Set aside.
- To assemble the sliders, place a generous amount of shredded brisket on the bottom half of each slider bun. Top with coleslaw and sliced pickles, then place the top half of the bun on each slider.
- Serve immediately with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
