Ingredients

  • Brisket - 400 grams
  • BBQ sauce - 120 ml
  • Slider buns - 4 pieces
  • Onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Pickles - 50 grams, sliced
  • Coleslaw mix - 100 grams
  • Vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. In a large oven-safe pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper to the pot and stir for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Place the brisket in the pot, cover it with BBQ sauce, and add 1/2 cup of water. Cover the pot with a lid and transfer it to the preheated oven.
  5. Cook the brisket in the oven for about 3 hours, or until tender and easily shredded with a fork.
  6. Once cooked, remove the brisket from the pot and let it rest for 10 minutes before shredding it with two forks.
  7. While the brisket is resting, prepare a quick coleslaw by mixing the coleslaw mix, vinegar, and sugar in a bowl. Set aside.
  8. To assemble the sliders, place a generous amount of shredded brisket on the bottom half of each slider bun. Top with coleslaw and sliced pickles, then place the top half of the bun on each slider.
  9. Serve immediately with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
