Ingredients

  • Beef ribs - 1 kg
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sugar-free BBQ sauce - 100 ml
  • Apple cider vinegar - 2 tablespoons
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Rub the spice mix evenly over the beef ribs, ensuring they are fully coated.
  4. In a large oven-safe pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Sear the ribs on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the sugar-free BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the ribs, ensuring they are well covered.
  7. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven.
  8. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender and the meat starts to pull away from the bones.
  9. Remove the foil and broil the ribs for an additional 5-10 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
  10. Remove from the oven, let rest for 10 minutes, then slice and serve.
