- BBQ sauce - 100 ml
- Corn tortillas - 4 pieces
- Red onion - 50 grams, thinly sliced
- Fresh cilantro - 10 grams, chopped
- Lime - 1, cut into wedges
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
- Season the beef brisket with salt and pepper on all sides.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the brisket for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Pour the BBQ sauce over the brisket, cover the skillet with a lid or aluminum foil, and transfer it to the preheated oven.
- Cook for approximately 2 hours, or until the brisket is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.
- Once cooked, remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing it against the grain into thin pieces.
- While the brisket is resting, warm the corn tortillas on a skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
- Assemble the tacos by adding a generous portion of sliced brisket to each tortilla.
- Top with thinly sliced red onion and chopped cilantro. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
