Ingredients

  • Beef brisket - 500 grams
  • BBQ sauce - 100 ml
  • Corn tortillas - 4 pieces
  • Red onion - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Fresh cilantro - 10 grams, chopped
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. Season the beef brisket with salt and pepper on all sides.
  3. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the brisket for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. Pour the BBQ sauce over the brisket, cover the skillet with a lid or aluminum foil, and transfer it to the preheated oven.
  5. Cook for approximately 2 hours, or until the brisket is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.
  6. Once cooked, remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing it against the grain into thin pieces.
  7. While the brisket is resting, warm the corn tortillas on a skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
  8. Assemble the tacos by adding a generous portion of sliced brisket to each tortilla.
  9. Top with thinly sliced red onion and chopped cilantro. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
