Ingredients

  • Beef brisket - 500 grams
  • BBQ sauce - 150 ml
  • Gluten-free hamburger buns - 2
  • Coleslaw mix (cabbage and carrots) - 200 grams
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Apple cider vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Rub this spice mixture all over the beef brisket.
  3. Place the brisket in a roasting pan and cover it tightly with aluminum foil. Roast in the preheated oven for about 4 hours, or until the meat is fork-tender.
  4. While the brisket is cooking, prepare the coleslaw by mixing the coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Set aside in the refrigerator to chill.
  5. Once the brisket is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes. Slice the brisket against the grain into thin slices.
  6. Toast the gluten-free buns lightly on a skillet or in the oven.
  7. Assemble the sandwiches by placing a generous amount of sliced brisket on the bottom half of each bun, drizzling BBQ sauce over the meat, and topping with the prepared coleslaw. Close the sandwiches with the top half of the buns.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your BBQ Beef Brisket Sandwiches!
