- Beef Brisket - 800 grams
- Garlic Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Smoked Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Brown Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Black Pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Cayenne Pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Apple Cider Vinegar - 60 ml
- BBQ Sauce - 120 ml
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 250 ml
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
- In a bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the beef brisket, ensuring it's well coated.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the brisket on all sides until browned (about 4-5 minutes per side).
- Place the seared brisket in a roasting pan and add apple cider vinegar and water to the bottom of the pan.
- Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven.
- Cook for about 6-7 hours, or until the brisket is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.
- Remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with BBQ sauce drizzled on top and enjoy.
