Ingredients

  • Beef Brisket - 800 grams
  • Garlic Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Brown Sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • Black Pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne Pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Apple Cider Vinegar - 60 ml
  • BBQ Sauce - 120 ml
  • Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 250 ml

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the beef brisket, ensuring it's well coated.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the brisket on all sides until browned (about 4-5 minutes per side).
  5. Place the seared brisket in a roasting pan and add apple cider vinegar and water to the bottom of the pan.
  6. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven.
  7. Cook for about 6-7 hours, or until the brisket is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.
  8. Remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
  9. Serve with BBQ sauce drizzled on top and enjoy.
